                - FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS O. F. VINING -
  
   Mrs. O.F. Vining aged 50 yrs died suddenly at her home Wednesday of last 
week on the Douglas - Pearson Road. She was a member of one of the oldest 
Atkinson county families and before her marriage to Vining was a Miss Woodard, 
a native of Berrien County. The family had made their home in Coffee and 
Atkinson Counties most all of her life. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. 
Henry Sears at Franklin Chapel Friday at 2 pm. The remains were placed in the 
cemetery there.
   Mrs. Vining was the mother of 5 daughters and 5 sons: Mrs. D.J. Harper of 
Ben Hill Co, Mrs.Moses Herring of Coffee Co, Mrs. Chester Sanders of Ft. Pierce 
Fla, Misses Maysie and Sue Nell Vining of Douglas, Walter Vining of Kirkland, 
Earl Vining of Douglas, Leon Vining of Douglas, Woodard Vining and George Sonny 
Vining. She is survived by her husband Owen Frank Vining, 2 sisters and 2 
brothers. The Douglas Undertaking Company had charge of the funeral 
arrangements.

Mrs. Vinings parents were Henry Woodard and Kizzie Corbitt Woodard of Ray City, 
Berrien Co. GA.
