Ralph Threatt

      The funeral service for Mr. Ralph Threatt of Fitzgerald, who died 
FridaY, October I8,1996 at his residence following an extended illness, 
was held
Sunday, October 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Holt Baptist Church. He was 67.
Rev. Danny Ray and Rev. L.A.Fate officiated at the service with 
interment in Holt Cemetery.
Pallbearers Were Wesley Paulk, Joel Spivey, Tommy
Pearce, Robert Smith, Michael Fowler, Joey Anderson, Dena Paulk, Diane 
Pearce, Marian Mitchell, Teresa Fowler, Clarice Anderson, Angie Fuller, 
JoAnn Lott, Jackie Weldon, and Linda Kilgore. Special musical selec-
tions were 'I Have Decided To Follow Jesus," "Old Rugged
  Cross," Were rendered by the Holt Baptist Church choir, led by Joey 
Veal and "Victory In Jesus," was offered as a congregational hymn with 
Andi McWhorter, Pianist.         
  The deceased was born to George Wesley Threatt and Selma Butler 
Threatt of Coffee County. He lived in Irwin County for many years and 
was a home building contractor. He was a member of Holt Baptist Church.
 He is survived by his wife,Dorothy Rhymes Threatt of Fitzgerald; 3 
sons: Wendell Ralph Threatt, Stanley Threatt, and Clarence Dwight 
Kilgore, all of Douglas; 2 daughters: Janice Lorraine T. Merritt of Douglas
and Wands Faye K. Paulk of Fitzgerald; 4 Sisters: Kathleen Paulk,Macie 
Pearce, and Elva Royal, all of Ambrose and Geneva Cliett of Haines 
City,FL; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangments.
