Mr. Ralph Ray Paulk, age 66, of Rt. 1, Wray, GA., passed away Wed., July
20, 1994, at Coffee Regional Hospital in Douglas, GA., following an
extended illness.

Mr. Paulk, a native of Itwin Co., GA., was born Sept. 8, 1927, the son
of the late Alonzo, Sr. and Eliza McGovern Paulk.  He was a retired
farmer and a Mason 33rd. Degree.  His membership was at New Hope Baptist
Church, Ambrose, GA.

Survivors include: 1 sisters, Nellie Paulk of Wray; 2 brothers, George
A. Paulk of Wray, and Linell Paulk of Hazelhurst; several nieces and
nephews.  Mr. Paulk was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Quinton Paulk,
Aubrey Paulk, and Alonzo Paulk, Jr.

Funeral services were held at 11 am, Sat., July 23, 1994, at the New
Hope Baptist Church near Ambrose, with Rev. Robert McDearmid
officiating.  Special music was provided by June Merritt and Susan
Harper with Nellie Jo Harper accompanying at the piano.  Interment
followed at the New Hope Church Cem.

Active pallbearers were: Jerry Paulk, Don Ray Paulk, Doyle Paulk, Lonnie
Paulk, Hugh Paulk, and Melvin Paulk.  Honorary pallbearers were:
Marshall Mote, C.B. McCauley, Deacons of New Hope Baptist Church and
members of Masonic Lodge #386.

Sims Funeral Home of Douglas was in charge of arrangments.
