Atkinson County Citizen - August 4, 2005
 Mr. Phillip Lamar Mills, age 36, of Nichols, GA passed away Friday, July 22, 
2005 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

 Mr. Mills was born May 17, 1969 in Ware County, GA, son of Sara Ann Carter 
Mills and the late Burl Guthrie Mills, Jr. He was employed with Kentec and his 
church membership was at Forest Grove Baptist Church.

 Survivors include his wife, Dina Marie Mixon Mills of Nichols, GA; one son, 
Connor Mills of Nichols; mother, Sara Ann Mills of Nichols; brothers Tim 
(April) Mills and Russell (Tammy) Mills of Nichols; nephews Reed and Rusty 
Mills also of Nichols.

 Funeral services for Mr. Mills were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Judy 27, 2005 
at Forest Grove Baptist Church near Nichols, GA with Rev. Jimbo Stead, Rev. 
Lonnie Spikes, and Rev. John Thomas officiating. Michael and Jan Thomas and 
William and Jackie Smith sang, "I Can't Even Walk," "Look What I've Traded," 
and "Amazing Grace" with Ida Ann Byrd accompanying at the piano. Burial 
followed in Forest Grove Church Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Lewis Vickers, Eddie Butts, Kevin Thomas, 
Andy Smith, J.G. Gillis, Scott Kirkland, Gary Seawright and Chris Joyce.

 Serving honorary pallbearers were personnel of Kentec, George Morgan, Chuck 
Rawlins, Mike Waters, Jim Otliff, Shawn Knight, Bud Perry Glenn Conners and 
Stan Williams and members of Wilsonville Fire Department.

 Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
