Joseph Asbell, 81,
Dies in Bold Springs
Joseph Asbell, 81, died at 9:30
p. m. Tuesday at his residence
in Bold Springs after an illness
of several days.
Funeral services will be held at
3 p. m. Thursday at Bold Springs
Methodist Church, with the Rev.
Cale, pastor, and the Rev. Jack
Renau officiating.
Burial will be in the Bold Springs
cemetery, with Lewis Asbell, Clar-
ence Asbell, Robert Asbell, Wesley
Asbell, Wallace Halstead, Alvis
Pendergast, Roscoe Stewart and
James Atkinson serving as pall-
bearers.
Honary pallbearers will be
emmett Drew, Hubert Maddox,
Tom Aldridge, Henry Adams, J.
R. Pendergast, J. C. Stewart,
and Guy Crum.
A native of Grady county, Mr.
Asbell was born Aug 2, 1871. He
was a member of Bold Springs
Methodist Church.
Surviving are three brothers,
Monroe, Robert and Ben Asbell,
all of Ochlocknee; and several
neices and nephews.

I forgot to write down the exact date, but do know it was in July 1953. Also,
Mr. Asbell is not shown in the listing on line for Bold Springs Cemetery, but,
he is buried there.
