Testator: William Belvin

 In the name of God Amen - I William Bevin[sic] of
Orange County & state of North Carolina, being in Sound memory &
Understanding Thanks be to God for the same calling unto mind the
mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all
men once to die do make & ordain this my last Will & testament
that is to Say principally & first of all I give & recommend
my Soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it & my
body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner, & as touching
Such Worldly estate Whare with it has pleased God to bless me
in this Life I give demise & dispose of the same in the fol=
lowing manner & form; I give & bequeath to Magdelane my
dearly beloved Wife the Lott I now live on in Hillsborough known
in the plan of said town by Number 29 with all the improvements
thereon unto hir & hir heirs forever to be at hir own disposal
to do Whatever she pleasses With & all & every part of my
worldly Goods to hir sole use & benifit I likewise Constitute
make & ordain my beloved Wife Magdelane With William
Whitted Junr. my executrix & executor of this my Last
Will & testament & I do hereby utterly dissalow revoke &
disanull all & every other former testament wills legacies bequests
& executors by me in any wise before named Willed & bequeathed
ratifying & confirming this & no other to be my last will &
testament in Witness Whareof I have hereunto sett my
hand & seal this ninth day of November in the year of Our
Lord one thousand Seven hundred & ninety six

    In the name of God Amen ~~ I William Belvin of Orange County and
State of North Carolina being in sound memory & understanding thanks be
to God for the same Calling unto mind the mortality of mind [my body] & knowing that

                               Orange County February Term 1797
                       The Execution of the foregoing Last Will and
Testament of William Belvin deceased was duly proved in Open Court by
the affirmation of William Courtney & the Oaths of John Faddis & William
Whitted Junr. subscribing witnesses thereto & Ordered to be Recorded ~~ at the same
time Magdelane Belvin Executrix therein named qualified accordingly
