In the Name of God Amen. The Twenteth (sic) day of June In the year of our Lord
one Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety one, I Valentine Rinehard of Frederick
County and State of Maryland being very sick and weak of Body but of Perfect
Mind and Memory thanks be Given unto God therefore calling unto mind the
Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do
make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally and
first of all I Give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it,
and for my Body I Recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and
decent manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the
General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty Power of God
and as Touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath Pleased God to Bless me in
this Life I Give devise and dispose of the same in the following Manner and
form, Imprimis it is my will and I do order that in the first Place all my Just
debts and funeral charges be paid and Satisfied.
I Give and Bequeath unto my well beloved wife Barbary all my Estate both Real
and Personal during her life or as long as she lives my Widow but if she should
Marry then she Shall have the Third part of my said Estate during her Natural
Life, and at the death of my said Wife I Give and Bequeath to my well beloved
Son George Rinehart one Hundred Acres of Land out of a Tract of land called
Phillipsburgh it being the last Hundred Acres of that Tract which has never been
platted of separate from the other parts of said Tract and also a Nother (sic)
Tract of Land called London containing twenty five acres and also another Tract
of Land called High Germany containing fifteen acres to him and his Heirs
forever and he my said Son shall Give unto my said Wife Ten Bushels of Wheat and
Ten Bushels of Rye every year as long as she lives my Widow and half the Hay
that Grows on the old Meadow that is cleared on great Pipe Creek and to hall
(sic) the same to her Barn and at the death of my said Wife that he my said Son
shall Give to my four Daughters whose names is (sic) as follows Viz That is to
say Elizabeth Sorries, Catrin Shaul, Christinor Snowfer, and Mary Weaver the Sum
of Forty pounds Specie in Eaqual (sic) parts that is Tenpounds Each and the next
year forty pounds in Eaqual Parts and so on per Annum forty pounds until one
Hundred and Sixty pounds is paid and it is my Will and do Ordain that the rest
of my Estate Real and Personal not heretofore Mentioned be Eaqually (sic)
Divided amongst my Son and four Daughters abovementioned and I Give and Bequeath
unto my Daughter Barbary Erter married to Daniel Erter the Sum of one Shilling
Sterling which is to be with what she hath already Received of me infull of all
my Estate both Real and Personal.
And I constitute make and Ordain my well Beloved Wife Barbary and my Son George
and Frederick Sorrier, my only and Sole Executors of this my last Will and
Testament and I do utterly disallow Revoke and disannul all and every other
former Testament Wills Legares and Executors by me in anyways before this time
made Named Willed and Bequeathed Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to
be my last Will and Testament. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my Hand
and Seal the day and Year above Written.
Signed Sealed Published Pronounced and declared by the said Valentine Rinehart
as his last Will and Testament In the presence of us the Subscribers.

Then came Barbara Rinehart, George Rinehart and Frederick Surgar Executors of
Valentine Rinehart late of Frederick County Deceased and made Oath that the
aforegoing Instrument of Writing is the True and Whole Will and Testament of
Valentine Rinehart late of Frederick County deceased that hath come to their
Hands and Possession and that they doth not know of any other.

Then came George Stump and Jacob Bumgardner two of the Subscribing Witnesses to
the aforegoing last Will and Testament of Valentine Rinehart late of Frederick
County deceased, and made Oath that they did see the Testator therein Named Sign
and Seal this Will that they heard him publish pronounce and Declare the same to
be his last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the
best of their Apprehensions of a Sound and disposing Mind Memory and
Understanding that they respectively Subscribed their Names as Witnesses to this
Will in the presence and at the request of the Testator and that they did also
see Thomas Durbin the other Subscribing Witness Sign his Name as a Witness
thereto In the presence and at the request of the Testator and all In the
presence of each other.
