April Court 1816
Petition of Catharine Hay, widow and relict of Valentine Hay late of
Woodberry Twp.
husband died intestate leaving your petitioner his widow, and five
children to wit
Mary, Catharine, Margaret, Valentine and Simon, the three last of whom
are minors under the age of 14 years and have no guardians to take care
of their persons and estates
April 3, 1816: court appoints John Ulery guardian over Margaret; Hermon
Dick guardian over Valentine Hay, and John Lower guardian over Simon Hay,
minor children of Valentine Hay deceased under the age of 14 years. A
note says see release of Simon G. Hay to Guardian Record Book T page 273
April 3rd 1816 came into court Mary Hay minor daughter of Valentine Hay
late of Woodberry township decd above the age of fourteen yeas, and
chose Conrod Martin as her guardian, whereupon the court approve of
Conrod Martin and appoint him guardian over said minor - -
Same day, came into court Catharine Hay minor daughter of Valentine Hay
late of Woodberry township decd. above the age of fourteen years & chose
Herman Dick as her guardian -- whereupon the court approve of Herman Dick
and appoint him guardian over said minor - -
April 3 1816 appeared in open court William Blair, intermarried with
Elizabeth Stiffler which said Elizabeth is one of the daughters & legal
representatives of Peter Stiffler late Napier township decd and refused
to take the real estate of said Peter Stiffler decd at the valuation.
[the above seems unrelated to Hay case]

April term 1824
Barbara Hay widow of Valentine Hay late of Woodberry Township deceased
husband left four children who are yet living and three of whom are
under the age of fourteen years and have no guardians to take care of
their persons. Their names are Elizabeth, Catharine, and David.
She recommends Conrad Martin as a fit person.
petition of Daniel Hay, son of Valentine Hay, late of Woodbury twp. who
is a minor above the age of 14 years and has no guardian.
Court appoints John Stoner
petition of Jacob Hay, son of Valentine Hay late of Woodberry Twp. who
is a minor above the age of 14 years and has no guardian.
Court appoints Frederick Nicodemus guardian.
November Court 1810 OC 3, p. 118:
petition of Frederick Hartle intermarried with Catharine one of the
daughters of Michael Hay deceased of Woodberry twp. Michael Hay died
intestate on or about the first day of July in 1816 leaving a widow, to
wit, Barbara and lawful issue five children to wit: Valentine, Jacob,
John, Catharine intermarried with your petitioner and Barbara.
