Will admitted to Probate Oct. 11, 1852
Will of Robert Beatty Westmoreland County, Pa.
In the Name of God, Amen. I, Robert Beatty, weak in body, but sound in mind, do make
this, my last Will and Testament.
First, I commend my soul to God in Christ for the consummation of that salvation
which I hope the Blessed Spirit has commenced, and my body to the dust in hope of a
Blessed Resurrection.
Second. I bequeath to my son John my real estate and personal
property, excepting the articles after specified.
Third. I bequeath to my daughters Jane and Elizabeth, each three hundred
dollars, a bed and bedding, a cow of their own choice, and to Eliza her wheel
and reel, with each a bureau
Fourth. I bequeath one hundred dollars to my daughter, Maria Brown Fifth. I leave to
Martha Jt, Brown, my grand daughter, fifty dollars
Sixth. I leave to Sara I. Brown, my grand daughter, fifty dollars.
Seventh. I leave to Robert Renerick Beatty fifty dollars.
All these sums to be paid to the adults immediately after my decease, and to the
juniors, my grand children as they come of age This business, together with the
schooling of son Robert R, Beatty, and binding him to a trade when eighteen, I
commit to the charge of my son, John, whom I hereby constitute and appoint the
executor of this, my last will and testament, in testimony whereof I have set my
hand and seal to this instrument. Jan. 15, 1847

decreed to Probate, same day recorded 11 October, 1852.
