On Sunday morning, March 11th, Tollef KNUTSON, a progressive farmer and
respected citizen of Strongs Prairie was called away from this world.

On Sunday, March 4th, just a week before he died, he was out driving and
came home sick in the evening. Pneumonia had started its deadly work and it
proved beyond the power of human effort to save him.

The funeral took place Wednesday March 14th. A large throng of people
assembled to behold for the last time silent features of their departed
friend and neighbor. He was laid to rest in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery
at Necedah where his parents and only child are buried.

Mr. KNUTSON was born August 10th, 1854 at Kaasvrn Norway. he came to
America in 1880 and on May 31st of the same year he married Thea Torris
STRATTE, from Voler in Soler Norway, who alone remains to mourn the loss of
her companion. With his bride he once made his home at Necedah where they
lived until 1889 when they moved to their present home in the town of
Strongs Prairie.

His death came as a sad surprise to all. Only a few days before he died he
was an active man--interested in the affairs of his community, state and
nation...(obit continues with religious message)
