Mrs. Dorothy JOHNSON, a much respected old lady, died at her home at Olin,
Monday evening July 26, 1898. Mrs. JOHNSON was sick only a few days, and
her death came unexpectedly. The deceased performed truly and nobly the
work left her, and was ever ready with a mother's hand to help in the time
of need or trouble. Dorothy BELL was born August 22, 1822, in the state of
Kentucky, and was married to Clarkson JOHNSON in 1843, in Indiana, where
they lived several years. In 1853 they moved to Columbia county, in
Wisconsin, and in 1862 moved to Adams county, where she lived to the time
of her death. Her husband died several years ago. She leaves to mourn her
death, two daughters in Michigan, one daughter in Dakota, one son in
Washington, one daughter and three sons in this place. The funeral was held
at the home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Verran of Kilbourn, officiating.
