Henry Jacobson, brother of Architect J. C. Jacobson, died Wednesday morning
as the result of an horrible accident of which he was a victim Tuesday
morning.

Mr. Jacobson was employed as a carpenter at the mill of the Consolidated
Water, Power, & Paper Company, and was at work in the basement of the
machine room early Tuesday morning...when he reached the beater room of the
mill he fell into a tank filled with about 4 feet of boiling water. Dr's
Rockwell and Keyes were called and he was removed to Rockwell's Hospital
where everything possible was done to relieve his sufferings and save his
life. He was conscious up until midnight Tuesday night, he then slept until
a few minutes before his death.

The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at one o'clock from the
residence of J. C. Jacobson and at the M. E. church at 2 p.m. Rev. A. J.
Anderson of Marshfield, assisted by Rev. W. A. Peterson and Rev. John
Gronfeldt will officiate. The body will be interred in Forest Hill
Cemetery.

Henry Jacobson was born at Strong's Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin, Dec.
6, 187_. He had been in this city about a year and during this time through
his industrious habits and genial disposition had gained a number of
friends. His last thought before he died was for the welfare of others:
"Have they put a fence around the tank?"

A most pathetic incident in connection with this death is that Mr. Jacobson
was engaged to be married to Miss Volber Christensen of Pittsville,
February 14. His last words to her were, "If it is God's will that I shall
live, I am glad; if it is not God's will, then I am ready to go."

He is survived by a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Jacobson of
Arkdale, Adams County, and eight brothers and three sisters, J. C., C. C.,
and Martin C. Jacobson of this city; Jacob Jacobson of West Hope, North
Dakota; Theodore, Conrad, Edwin, Benjamin and Lydia of Arkdale; and Mrs. P.
S. Hilleboe and Miss Mary Jacobson of Bottineau, North Dakota. [apparently
