OBITUARY--MRS. SIGRID HOLM

Sigrid ROSGAARD was born in Norway in 1858, and came to America with her
parents in 1862, and settled in Adams county. On February 22nd, 1880, she
was married to Oscar L. HOLM at Strongs Prairie. Immediately after their
marriage the young couple went west and lived three years, returning to
Strongs Prairie in 1883, at which place they had since resided.

Mrs. HOLM was a member of the United Lutheran Church of America, and was a
firm believer in its doctrines.

To Mr. and Mrs. HOLM were born eleven children--Emma, Lewis, Nellie (Now
Mrs. Peter ERICKSON), Selma, Ida, Orin, Clara, Hannah, Walter, Henry and
Lydia.

The death of Mrs. HOLM was very sad. Fulling realizing that death was near,
she called her children to her bedside and bade them all a sad farewell,
speaking kindly words of motherly advice.

The death of Mrs. HOLM was caused by inflammation of the bowels. She was
taken ill on Friday, September 11, and her illness was terminated by death
the following Monday, September 14.

Funeral services were held at the United Lutheran church at Strongs Prairie
on Thursday, September 17, 1903, the Rev. Hagan officiating.
