From the Adams County Press, Saturday March 26, 1904

Louis Havlik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Havlik, of the town of Preston,
died March 16th, 1904, aged 16 years, 9 months, of heart disease.

Lewis was born in Austria, coming with his parents to this country and
settling in Chicago, where they lived until last fall, when Mr. Havlik
purchased the Joe Pflager farm in the town of Preston and moved his family
there.

The young man had been sick for some time, and although no hopes were
entertained for his recovery, his death came as a shock to his family and
friends. He leaves surviving him a father, mother, four brothers and two
sisters, who have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Funeral services were conducted on March 17th, by Rev. A. H. Smith at the
house and the interment was in the Fordham cemetery.
