Theodore R. CUMMINGS for many years a prominent and respected resident of
the Town of Springville, died at his home in that town, Tuesday evening,
May 31st, of heart failure, aged 55 years.

Mr. CUMMINGS was born in Dane county, this state, and came to this county
in 1852, settling on the home farm in the town of Springville, where he has
since lived. In 1868 he was married at Kilbourn to Miss Libbie E. REYNOLDS,
who survives him. Of this union four children were born, as follows: Samuel
T., Arthur N., Luther R. and Nina I., now Mrs. A. L. BONNELL; who with his
aged mother are left to mourn his loss.

Mr. CUMMINGS was a man popular in his town, having gained and retained the
respect of his neighbors and townsmen. He was quiet, unassuming, a friend
to those in need, and thoughtful for all. In his family he was a kind and
loving husband, a gentle and affectionate father. The bereaved ones have
the sympathy of the entire community in their loss.

Funeral services were held at the family home, Thursday, June 3rd, at 1 o'
clock in the afternoon, Rev. Brenneman of Kilbourn officiating. The
interment being in the Town Line cemetery.
