In the name of God Amen, I James Hollanshead of Belfast township Bedford County
and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but having soundness of mind, knowing
that all men must once die but, not knowing the time, First I commit my body to the
Earth to be buried in a christian like manner nothing doubting but I shall receive
the same again at the day of the resurrection, as to my worldly substances which the
Lord hath given me I dispose of in the following manner:
First I will and bequeath to my son James Hollanshead all my real Estate and all
my other property and household and kitchen furniture excepting one cow one bureau
one bed and bedstead, that is what I allow my daughter Sycha for her share, it is my
will that my son James Hollanshead shall pay thirty dollars to the rest of my
children to be equally divided that is to say five dollars to each one namely John
Hollanshead, Benjamin Hollanshead, Ritchard Hollanshead, Joseph Hollanshead, Sarah
Akers
And also apoint James Hollanshead and John Mellott of Obed my Executors to this my
last will and Testament.
I certify that this is my last will and Testament denying all others whereunto I
set my name this 25th day of April A.D. 1836.

Bedford County SS: Personally appeared before the Register for the Probate of Wills
in and for said county Jeremiah Mellott and Revd. Moses Starr subscribing witnesses
to the foregoing instrument of writing who being duly sworn do say that they were
present and saw the Testator James Hollingshead sign the same by making his mark,
and heard him pronounce and declare said instrument of writing to be his last will
and Testament that he desired them to sign their names as witnesses thereto and that
Sworn & Subscribed Febry. 27th 1845 Before Jos. B. Noble, Regr.
