JESSIE B. LYKENS 

  Jessie B. Lykens, 95, of 203 High St., Port Matilda, died Wednesday 
May 5, 2004 at 2:45 p.m. at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
  She was born August 12, 1908 in Port Matilda, a daughter of Peter 
Bubb and Harriet Ella (Crain) Woodring. On August 1, 1929 in Warriors 
Mark she married Samuel C. Lykens Sr. He died August 30, 1981.
  Surviving are three daughters, Patsy Jane Muniz of Palmerton, Barbara 
Friday of RD3, Tyrone, Jessie Kay Lykens of Port Matilda, two sons, 
Samuel C. Jr. of Philipsburg, Larry Dick of Port Matilda, 10 
grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. 
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth and Thelma and two 
brothers, Mahlon and Gilbert.
  Mrs. Lykens was a member of the Port Matilda United Methodist Church, 
Lady Emily Rebekkah Lodge, Port Matilda, Order of the Eastern Star, 
State College, Senior Citizens Club, Garden Club, Port Matilda and the 
Port Matilda Fire Company Auxiliary. She had assisted her husband in 
the operation of the former Clover Farm Store, Port Matilda and the Ben 
Franklin Store, Tyrone.
  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the 
Port Matilda United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Gable 
officiating. Interment will follow at Port Matilda Presbyterian 
Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on 
Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. 
until the time of services. Eastern Star and Rebekkah services will be 
held at the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 p.m.
  Memorial gifts may be made to the Port Matilda United Methodist 
Church, Main Street, Port Matilda, PA 16870.
