Shirley Hammond 

  Shirley Mae Laird Hammond, 70, of Port Matilda, peacefully at her 
home went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 27, 2005.
  She was born September 20, 1935, a daughter of the late Ray and Lena 
Laird. 
  She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Hammond and four 
children: Cathy Morgan, Chuck Hammond, Sue Briner and Brenda Woodring. 
Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived 
by one sister, Beryl Hammond.
  She was a member of the State College Assembly of God. 
  She enjoyed her garden, hunting, traveling and most of all caring for 
her husband and family.
  Friends will be received Sunday, October 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. and 
Monday, October 31 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the State College Assembly of 
God. 
  Funeral services will be held Monday, October 31, at 11 a.m. at the 
State College Assembly of God, 2201 University Drive Extension, State 
College with Rev. Paul E. Grabill officiating.
  Her final resting place will be Black Oak Cemetery, Worth Twp., 
Centre Co., PA. 
  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in celebration of Shirley's 
life may be sent to the State College Assembly of God Missionary Fund, 
2201 University Drive Extension, State College, PA.
  Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 
Milesburg, PA.
