JOSEPH H. GUNSALLUS 

  Joseph H. Gunsallus, 92, of Wynwood House, Centre Hall and formerly 
of Graysville, died August 13, 2006 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, 
State College, following a brief illness.
  He was born July 21, 1914 in Warriors Mark, a son of Viola Dunlap and 
J. Earl Gunsallus.
  On February 16, 1939 he married Roberta Taylor in Warriors Mark at 
the Taylor Homestead, who died in 1981.
  Surviving are three daughters: Kay G. and husband William Barnett of 
State College, Carol G. and husband Robert Oliver of Graysville and 
Kathy G. and husband Charles Donachy of Riverside, New Jersey; six 
grandchildren: Karen Christine, Douglas Reed, Chris Oliver, Robin 
Oliver Veronesi, Justin Zeuner and Lauren Zeuner; three great-
grandchildren: Courtney and Caleb Christine and Rocco Veronesi; two 
sisters: Mae Beck of Honey Grove and Verna Williams of Warriors Mark 
and one brother, Glenn Gunsallus of Bainbridge, Ga.
  He was preceded in death by two brothers.
  Mr. Gunsallus was a member of the Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian 
Church. 
  He was a long time dairy farmer in the Warriors Mark area until 1954, 
at which time he became a guard at the Rockview State Correctional 
Institute from which he retired from following 24 years service. He 
enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and enjoyed baseball.
  Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 11 
a.m. at the Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lynn 
Illingworth.
  Place of burial is Graysville Cemetery.
  Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. 
until the time of services at 11 a.m. 
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Spruce Creek 
Presbyterian Church, 2620 Spruce Creek Rd., Spruce Creek, Pa. 16865.
