ALBERT ANDREW (ABE) FRANTZ 

  Albert Andrew (Abe) Frantz, age 76, of 1325 Beckwith Road, Port 
Matilda, died August 19, 2004 at his home with his family following a 
brief illness.
  He was born January 16, 1928 in Rush Twp. to Ella (Graham) Frantz and 
Pius Frantz. He was married September 30, 1950 in Houserville to Alice 
Mae (DeArmitt) Frantz who survives. 
  Surviving is three sons: Danial A. (Abe), Kenneth L. and Edward A., 
all of Port Matilda; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a 
brother, Matt of State College.
  He was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, grandchild, two 
brothers and three sisters.
  He was of the Protestant faith. He served in the U.S. Army during 
WWII and was honorably discharged on September 6, 1947. He enjoyed 
hunting, tending to the yard and long rides in the mountains. He was a 
member of the 40 and 8 Club. He was a painter by trade most of his 
life.
  Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11 at the Bruce 
E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, with Pastor Henry Shaffer. Place of 
burial will be at Black Oak Cemetery, Port Matilda. 
  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Monday 
from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11.
