DIED AT CENTRE HALL.
Mrs. Tamer Boal, Sister of S. W. Barr and Mrs. Margaret Harper of
Tyrone.

Mrs. Tamer Boal, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. R. Lingle,
near the Old Fort, not far from Centre Hall, Centre county, at one
o'clock this morning, from a general collapse of the nervous system.
She had been in delicate health for a number of years, but was able to
be about until very recently. She was the sister of S. W. Barr and
Mrs. Margaret Harper of this place, and had visited them and other
friends here for several weeks last fall. The maiden name of deceased
was Tamer Barr. She was born in Mifflin county, this state, on May 18,
1836, and at death was aged 63 years, 8 months and 4 days. In early
life she was married to James C. Boal, who died at Centre Hall about
six years ago. He was justice of the peace at the time of his death.
Two daughters survive, viz: Mrs. Sallie Kline and Mrs. Lingle.
Mrs. Boal was a splendid specimen of true christian womanhood. Her
consideration and sympathy for others was deep and genuine, and her
devotion to those who were found to her by family ties was of the most
sincere and earnest character. Her life was spent in the development
of a character that in the spiritual world will burst forth in angel
form under the more immediate influence of the Sun of Heaven, as the
flower opens its folds and sends forth its fragrance upon the approach
on a bright morning of the less brilliant sun of earth. Death is her
gain, but she will be sadly missed by those whom she loved and who
loved her in return.
The funeral will be held from the home where she died at 10 o'clock
Monday morning.
