PHILIP H. BENNER 

Of 107 Third avenue died at his home this morning at 4:45 o'clock.  He 
was born May 12, 1859, in Centre county, the son of Thomas M. and 
Catherine (Feister) Benner.  Surviving are his wife Mary Jane (Smith) 
Benner and five children: Chester S., Mrs. Jessie L. Carls, Clarence 
E., Earl Francis and Mrs. George Fitzgerald, all of Altoona.  The 
following brothers and sisters also survive: Charles and Thomas Benner; 
both of Lewistown; Harry B. Benner, Mrs. Emma Harris and Mrs. Carrie 
Nash, all of Altoona, and Mrs. Anna Webb of Spruce Creek.  The deceased 
was a member of the First Church of Christ and of Mt. Horeb commandery, 
Knights of Malta.  He was a former engineer on the Middle division of 
the Pennsylvania Railroad company, having been retired on Dec. 1, 1923. 
Services will be held at the home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. 
Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
