  Valley News Dispatch, Tarentum, Pa.
   HELEN L. BEATTY   formerly of Washington Twp.  Helen L. Beatty, 78, of 
  College View Towers, Grove City, formerly of Washington Township, died 
  Monday ) in United Community Hospital, Grove City.  Born March 27, 1919, in 
  Bell, she lived in Washington Township for 47 years before moving to Grove 
  City in 1993.  She was a secretary at Mansfield (Ohio) Tire and Rubber Co. for 
  10 years before retiring in 1946.  Mrs. Beatty was a member of Tower 
  Presbyterian Church and Senior Citizens, both in Grove city, and the American 
  Association of Retired Persons.  She was a former member of Poke Run 
  Presbyterian Church, Washington Township.
       Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Susan) Mullett of Lake 
  Latonka and Mrs. Jack (Patricia) Westwood of Waynesburg; three grandchildren; 
  one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Joyce Newlon of Ridgeway and Joann 
  Hunter of Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Beatty, 
  in 1991; and her mother Florence Wolford.
       Visitation and services will be today.  Burial will be in Riverview 
  Cemetery, Apollo.  The Rev. Wayne Blaser will officiate.  Arrangements are 
  being handled by the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home, 100 Owens View Drive, Apollo.
