MRS. HELEN RAY BENCE, 91 Indiana RD 3 died Saturday Evening, Jan. 16, 1971

at the Indiana Hospital.



A daughter of Harry W. and Florence Moore Ray. She was born May 27, 1909, in

Rayne Twp., Indiana County, where she resided all of her life.



Mrs. Bence was a member of the Rayne Presbyterian Church and also a member

of the Ladies Circle of her church.



Surviving are her husband, Horace Bence, Indiana RD 3; her mother, Indiana,

a son, William H. Bence, York; two daughters: Mrs. Betty Helman, at home;

Mrs. James I. (Margaret) Scott, Lynchburg, VA; three brothers: Dr. Harry W.

Ray, Bellwood; Dr. John B. Ray, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Virginia O'Donnell,

Washington, D.C.; and Seven grandchildren.



Friends will be received today from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9

pm at Robinson Lytle's. Indiana, where services will be conducted Wednesday

at 2 pm. The Rev. Theodore D. Taylor will officiate and interment will be

made in Oakland Cemetery.
