HARRY E. BENCE, lifetime resident of Indiana County passed away in the

Indiana Hospital Monday, February 13 (1956) 5 pm.



Born in Rayne Township, March 22, 1872, a son of the late James and Rosena

Everwine Bence.



He was a member of the Marion Center Presbyterian Church.



Surviving are his wife, Annie Clawson Bence; two sons, Carl R., Phoenix,

Arizona; John A., Marion Center; one daughter, Arlene, Baltimore, MD., five

grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.



Three brothers, John L. and Charles L., of Indiana; Clarence D. of Marion

Center, R.D.; and one sister Mrs. Geneive B. Wayman, Lakeland, FLA.



Friend are being received at his late home in Marion Center until 12 noon

Friday, Feb. 17, when his body will be removed to the Bethel Church to lie

in state from 1:30 to 2: pm, the hour of service. The Rev. Guy Gray will

officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
