Ernest Barr

  W. Ernest Barr, 96, Morewood
Avenue, Blairsville, died Friday,
Feb. 6,1998, at Beacon Manor, 
Indiana.
  The son of William E. and Edna
Walter Barr, he was born June 13,
1901, in Derry Township.
  Mr. Barr was a member of the 
I.O.O.F. 346, Indiana.  Prior to his
retirement in 1966, he was employed
in construction.
  Surviving are three daughters:
Mrs. Harrry (Mary) Akins, Blairs-
ville; Mrs. James (Joyce) Rishor,
Hampton, Va.; and Mrs. James
(Donna) Boyer, Derry Rd 1; 10
grandchildren and 19 great-grand-
children.
  He was preceded in death by his 
parents; his wife, Martha Irene
Holby Barr, on Aug. 19, 1985; two
brothers, Arthur and Maurice Barr;
and three sister: Marion V. Barr,
Esther Barr and Ruth Webster.
  Friends will be received from
noon-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral
Home, Blairsville, where a funeral
service will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday with the Rev. James R.
Henigin officiating. Interment will
be made in Blairsville Cemetery.
