                   War Veteran Buried Today

            The death is announced of SOLOMON DEAN, who
        passed away at Chester Heights, aged 77 years. He
        was a veteran of the Civil War and lived on a small farm
        with his wife for many years at the Heights. He was well
        known in Chester to which place he frequently drove.
        The funeral took place today from his late home with
        interment at Thornbury cemetery.
