Obituaries
SAMUEL E. BAKER - Funeral Friday
Funeral services for SAMUEL ESREY BAKER, 55, of
825 Mitchell av., Morton, who died Sunday, will be held at
2 p.m. at the Rigby funeral home, Baltimore and Jackson,
Media. Burial will be in Media Cemetery. Friends may call
Thursday evening.
A native of Marple and a carpenter and builder by trade,
Mr. BAKER leaves his wife, JENNIE LOWNES POWELL
BAKER; three sons, SAMUEL E., JR., San Francisco;
ROBERT E., in the Navy at Philadelphia; THEODORE F.,
in the Navy at Manila, and two daughters, Mrs. SALLY ANN
FERRO, Westbrook Park, and RACHEL at home. There are
two grandchildren. He also leaves three sister and two
brothers, Mrs. FLORENCE B. MATSON, Sharon Hill; Mrs.
FRANCES DWYER, Pottstown; Mrs. ANNA DWYER,
Claymont, Del.; ALVA S. BAKER, Larchmont, and
STANTON BAKER, Chester.
Note: Father of Oliver F. Baker, PhM., killed in Saipan 15 June 1944
