Connellsville Daily Courier Jan. 28, 1999
Mary Ellen Bruce age 88, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Thursday
Jan. 28, 1999 at her daughter's home. She was born, July 4, 1910 in
Calvert, Kan., a daughter of the late John H. and Elizabeth J. Thomas
O'Neal. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in
South Connellsville and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three daughters; Mary E. Salatino and husband
Tony, of Connellsville, with whome she resided, Betty Jane Christman
and husband, Harold, and Ruth E. DeWitt and husband Glenn, all of
Norwalk, Oh.; one son Charles R. and wife Shirley of Denison, Texas;
13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and great-great-
grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate
family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three
brothers George,Harry, and Charles O'Neal; two sisters Olive Means
and Bessie Pritchard; and two grandchildren in infancy.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL
HOME 123 S. First St. West Side Connellsville, Saturday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday Jan. 31, 1999 from 10 a.m.. until 2;30
p.m., the hour of servicewith .Interment Pastor David C. Bashor
officiatingwill be in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
