Otis Barfield Died Monday Suddenly
Thirty Years of Age  Stricken Seriously Ill Sunday
	Mr. Otis Barfield, 30 year old Berrien County farmer, died Monday 
morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his parents, who reside about three 
miles south of Nashville.  He had been ill for the past several months from what 
doctors said was cancer of the leg.  He was stricken seriously ill Sunday 
afternoon.
	The body was prepared for burial by the Giddens Funeral Home and removed 
to the home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Grantham, who reside 
about ten miles northeast of Nashville.
	The young man moved to Berrien County about a year ago from Irwin County 
with his parents, and had been engaged in farming.
	The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Ocilla, the services 
being conducted by Revs. Hancock and Cates.  Interment was in Ocilla cemetery.
	Surviving are his wife, the parents, four sisters and three brothers.
