Last will and testament I David Hawn of Walker township, in the county
of of Huntingdon and State of Pennsylvania
DAVID HAWN late of Walker feeling that life is uncertain and being
(now Juniata township) desirous while in the full possession of my
deceased rational faculties, to make a desposition of my
property to take effect after my death, do make and publish this my last
will and testament as follows, to wit: I direct all my just debts and
funeral expenses to be paid as soon as convenient after my decease, out of
my estate, I hereby giving my Executors, hereinafter names and the survisors
of them full power and authority to sell and convey any part of my real
estate for that purpose, that they may think proper. And the rest and
residue of my estate, real, personal and mixed, I hereby devise and bequeath
to my four Brothers, John, George, Peter and Isaac, to have and to hold the
same unto the said John, George, Peter and Isaac Hawn as tenants in common,
the personal property to be used and disposed of as they may see proper, and
the real estate to be held and enjoyed by them during their joint lives, and
the survivors of them, and by the last survivor of them, and his heirs and
Assigns forever__ In case my said Brothers, John, George, Peter and Isaac or
the survivors of them should desire to sell and dispose of the whole or any
part of the real estate devised, they are at liberty so to do, and by a deed
or deeds of conveyance by them or the survivors of them executed and
delivered to sell and convey the same to the purchases and purchases in fee
simple. However if any or all of my said brothers should hereafter be
married, in that event the undivided fourth part of my real estate shall be
vested in each as such as may be married in fee simple, and not for life as
before provided __ And as in the dispensation of Divine Providence our
brother Daniel has been deprived of reason, and there is no hope of his mind
being restored, I feel anxious that he should be well provided for, and
therefore, although I have the fullest confidence that my said brothers will
care for him and supply his wants and make him a comfortable as
circumstances will permit, yet in the want of the estate devised and
bequeathed to our said brother Daniel by our dear mother being exhausted, I
desire that my said four brothers shall contribute out of the estate hereby
devised and bequeathed to them, towards the support and maintenance of our
said unfortunate brother Daniel__ Further I hereby constitute and appoint my
said four brothers John, George, Peter and Isaac the Executors of this my
last will and testament and the survisors of them. In testimony where of I
have hereunto set my hand the twenty fifth day of April A. D. eighteen
