LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF CONRAD CURFMAN
In the name of God Amen. I Conrad Curfman of Cass Township Huntingdon County
Pennsylvania the uncertainty of this transitory life, and being weak in body
but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last
will and testament in manner and form following to wit:
1st I will that all my just debts as shall be by me owing at my death together
with my funeral expenses and all other charges touching the proving of and
otherwise concerning this my last will be fully paid out of my personal
property and effects.
2nd I will and bequeath to each of my three daughters now living at home a
good bed and bedding and one cow and three sheep to be given to each of them
namely Julian, Sarah, and Emeline and I will and bequeath to the three above
named in common, my corner Cupboard my Cook Stove & Pipe & fixtures, and my
tin Plate Stove and Pipe and also my Clock and my L_____ and the use or
Possession of my little House between this one I (my Mansion House) and the
Spring, the one in which John Wilson used to live, during their or any of
their lifetime provided they or any of them wish to live in it and make their
home therein provided they or any of them remain unmarried but should they or
any of them marry then such an ones claim there__ shall cease and terminate,.
3rd I will and bequeath to my Son Jesse a good Bed and bedding, one cow and
three sheep.
4th I will and bequeath to my Son Jesse so much of the Farm on which I live as
lies on the North side of a line to me made straight starting at the branch a
run where it crosses the Road leading from the main Road to Cassville to John
Spangless said branch on the Premises or land that Andrew Henderson brought of
Christian Miller; thence by Straight line to the nearest corner on the line of
James Hendersons lands, with all the appurtenances except the Privilege of the
Little House before mentioned. And also all the land I own on Shirley's Knob,
for which he is to pay twenty two hundred Dollars as follows One thousand
Dollars in one year after my death and the Bal. in two equal annual payments
thereafter. Any improvements he makes hereafter will i__re to his own
interest. And the Ballance of my farm lying on the South side of said line
described above if remaining unsold at the time of my death I hereby authorize
my Executors hereinafter named to sell and convey either at public or private
sale as they may think best.
5th I will and bequeath first out of the proceeds of my real and personal
estate One hundred and twenty five dollars to my daughter Julian and one
hundred and fifty Dollars to my Daughter Sarah and one hundred and twenty five
Dollars to my daughter Emeline. And in addition to a horse that my son Elijah
received the benefit of on the land he owns and other matters not charged and
in consideration of his leaving home when a boy I give and bequeath to him one
Dollar which is to be his full share of my Estate.
6th I direct that all the ballance of my estate and effects be equally divided
Share and Share alike between any nine Children namely my Daughters Rachael
Wilson one ninth equal share, my Daughter Elizabeth Devore one ninth equal
Share my Daughter Mary Elias one ninth equal Share my Daughter Ellen Stever
one ninth Equal Share. My Daughter Julian one ninth equal share my son Jesse
Curfman one ninth equal Share, My Daughter Sarah one ninth equal Share and my
Daughter Emeline one ninth equal Share. And lastly I constitute and appoint
my son Jesse Curfman and Abraham Taylor my Executors of this my last Will and
testament. Hereby revoking all other wills by me made at any time heretofore
and declaring this and none other to be my last will and Testament. In witness
whereof I have hereunto set any hand and seal this 9th day of March A. D.
1866. Signed sealed and delivered in Presents of us, by the said Testator as
his last will and Testament in presents of us and each other

This eleventh day of August A. D. 1870 before me J. E. Smucker Register for
the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the
County of Huntingdon personally came D. Clarkson A. J. Stever & Perry P.
Stever the subscribing witnesses to the above Will and being duly sworn
according to laws did depose and say that they were present and saw and heard
Conrad Curfman the testor sign, seal, publish pronounce and declare the
foregoing instrument of writing as and for his testament and last will, and
that at the time of so doing he the said testator was of perfect and Sound
mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation and
belief.

Letters Testamentary on the Estate of Conrad Curfman deceased
On this 11th day of August A. D. 1870 Letters Testamentary in common form were
granted to Jesse Curfman and Abram Taylor on the estate of Conrad Curfman.
