Late of Huntingdon County

Last Will and Testament of George Ashman, Dec'd
In The Name of God Amen, I George Ashman of Huntingdon County in the State of
Pennsylvania being sick ___ but in perfect mind and memory thanks be to god do
make order constitute and appoint this my last will and testament. I give and
bequeath my soul to Almighty God from whom I received it hoping he may receive
the same at my restitution. Item, I give and bequeath to my three sons Richard
Ashman, John Ashman, George Ashman and their heirs for ever all my Real and
personal Estate that I shall die satisfied with to them and their heirs forever
and in case either of them should die without issue the two remaining ones to
have his part to be equally divided between them and in case a second son should
die without issue the surviving one shall enjoy the whole of my real estate him
and his heirs forever and in case all my three sons mentioned above should die
without issue ___ and in such case my three daughters, Henny Retta Mariah
Ashman, Rebecca Ashman, Elinor Ashman shall enjoy all my Real Estate to be
equally divided between themselves and their heirs forever. Item I give and
bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Harvey one dollar and no more. Item I give
and bequeath to my grandson George James Ashman one dollar and no more. Item I
give and bequeath to my three daughters viz. Henna Ritta Mariah Ashman, Rebecca
Ashman, Elinor Ashman Each of them one good feather bead and furniture at the
day of marriage or sooner if they demand them this was omitted in the first item
above my desire is that my three sons before mentioned shall pay onto each of my
three daughters above named a legacy of Eight hundred dollars at the day of
marriage to each of them and in case either should die and the Legacy not paid
the two surviving to have their legacy to be equally divided between them. My
desire is that my three daughters above named shall continue to live with my
three sons before named and they and they are to be supported and kept in
necessaries as in my lifetime as they were by me. Item my desire is that Elinor
my Loving wife should live with my three sons and they to find her a good and
sufficient maintance as in my lifetime and they are to treat her as a mother
paying every respect to her as such. Item my desire is that my six
grandchildren viz. Margaret Palmer, Elinor Palmer, George Palmer, Elizar Palmer,
Sarah Palmer, Mary Palmer is to receive a Legacy of one hundred dollars each of
them when they cum to the age of Twenty One years to be paid to them by my three
sons before named and if any of my Grandchildren die before they cum of age the
legacy for them is to be equally divided between the surviving ones. My desire
is that when the Real Estate is divided between my three sons that John Ashman
shall have his first choyce of lots and Richard Ashman the last choyse. My
will and desire is that my three sons be my whole and sole executors whom I
leave as such and no one else. I publish declare and pronounce this to be my
last will and Testament evoking all others heretofore by me made In Witness
whereof I have here unto set my Hand and affixed my seal this Fourteenth day of
September in the year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred and and Eleven. Signed

said testator in the of us the the subscribers who being then Present.

A.B. my will and desire is that no part of my Personal Estate shall be sold for
any other purpose but for the special purpose of Paying the debts and supporting
the Family and carrying the farm until the debt shall be paid.

Before me the subscriber Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters
of Administration on and for said Count y personally appeared John Hudson and
Levi Hicks and being duly sworn according to Law did depose and say that they
were personally present and did see and hear George Ashman seal pronounce
publish and dictate the foregoing Instrument of Writing as and for his last will
and Testament that they signed their names as witnesses thereto in the presence
of the Testator and at his request and that at the time of said signing the
Testator was of so und and disposing mind and memory to the best of these
depon___ knowledge and belief and further saith not.

Memorandum
Letters of Administration are this day granted to Richard Ashman, John Ashman,
and George Ashman of the Estate of George Ashman Dec'd. Inventory to be
Exhibited on or before the tenth day of February next and a Full and true
account ____ and Reckoning of their Administration on or before the tenth day of
January one thousand right hundred and thirteen or when the ___ legally
required.
