Esther Mae Montgomery, 77, of Mansfield, died Sunday November 7, 2004
at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after a sudden illness. Born April 30,
1927 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John Quince
and Liddie (Phipps) Caudill. On January 3, 1948, she married Coy Elbert
Montgomery. She retired in 1982 from Rosemont Nursing Home where she
was a nursing assistant. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of Stone Valley
Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Ronnie Montgomery of Phoenix, Arizona,
Pete and Yvonne Montgomery of Mansfield, Darrell Lee and Sonia Montgomery of
Phoenix, Arizona, and Larry Dale and Sandra J. Montgomery of Mansfield;
one daughter, Deborah and Terry Ray of Mansfield; ten grandchildren;
five great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; seven step great
grandchildren; two sisters, Aretta and Jim Hamilton of Greenwich, and
Loretta Lemaster of Salyersville, Kentucky; one brother Arlen and
Shirley Caudill of Salyersville, Kentucky; and one half brother, Berlie
Caudill of Stark, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Coy Elbert Montgomery,
on August 16, 2001; one son Gary Montgomery; two sisters, Merzie Weeks and Lucy
Castle; four brothers, Richard Montgomery, Tommy Caudill, Barry Caudill, and Hurrel Caudill;
and one daughter-in-law, June Montgomery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday November
10, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday November 11 at the funeral home
with Pastor Kevin Evans and Pastor Berlie Caudill officiating. Burial will
follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
