1926 - 2006

Raymond R. Arnett, 76, of Mansfield died at home Sunday, May 11, 2003 
after an extended illness. Mr. Arnett was born December 23, 1926 in 
Saylersville, Kentucky to Reb and Mintie (Holbrooks) Arnett. He was 
employed with Martin Steel Company for 24 years and retired from 
Artesian Industries after 24 years. He was a member of Dean Road 
Freewill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Tabbie (Silvey) Arnett of Mansfield; 
two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrel and Peggy Arnett of Mansfield and 
Dannie and Sandy Arnett of Lexington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Aaron and Betty Arnett of Mansfield and Cecil and Lucy Arnett of 
Kentucky; a sister and brother-in-law, Iona and Victor Oney of 
Kentucky; two grandsons and a spouse, Scott and Christa Arnett and 
Damon Arnett; three step children, Richard and Gene Silvey and Connie 
Duvall; and several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; second wife, Helen; a brother, 
Raleigh; and two sisters, Margaret and Cledia.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors 
Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday 
at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brother Virgil 
Masters and Assistant Pastor Brother Earl Tackett. Burial will follow 
at Mansfield Memorial Park.
