SHAW - ANDERSON.

One of the most beautiful military weddings of the season was
solemnized in Washington, D.C., on July 5, when Ruth A. Anderson,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Findley Anderson of 606 First avenue, became
the wife of Sergeant Major Dean B. Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Shaw
of Hollidaysburg. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. B. Everett,
assisted by his son, Rev. W. B. Everett, jr., pastor of the Episcopal
church. Mr. Shaw is at present located at Fort Myer, Va., and previous
to his army activities was associated with Charles H. McVey, the well-
known real estate man. Miss Anderson is a graduate of the class of 1916
of the Altoona High school and has been located at the Colonial school
at Washington, D.C. for the past two months. Mrs. Shaw will remain in
Washington until her husband sails for overseas duty.
