McCULLOUGH - AUKERMAN.

One of the prettiest home weddings held in Altoona in recent months
was celebrated Wednesday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. J.
Aukerman, 1905 Sixth avenue, the occasion being the marriage of their
daughter, Clara Viola, to Mr. David Garrett McCullough, jr. Rev. J. F.
Hartman, D.D., pastor of the Second Lutheran church, was the
officiating minister.
The ceremony was performed in the parlors, which were prettily
decorated with palms and potted flowering plants. About seventy-five
guests, together with the families of the contracting parties,
witnessed the ceremony.
The bridal party moved into the parlor promptly at 8.30 o'clock, in
step with the wedding march, rendered by Miss Linda E. Hooper. The
bride was attended by Miss Edna Hartman as maid of honor and Miss Cora
Lee Kerlin as bridesmaid. Mr. Wilbur Ale, of Bellwood, was best man
and Mr. Ed. Loudon the groom's attendant. The bride was handsomely
gowned in white organdie over white silk, with Valenciennes lace and
ribbon trimming. She carried white roses. Miss Hartman wore white
organdie over pink silk and carried pink carnations. Miss Kerlin wore
pink organdie over white silk and carried white carnations.
At the conclusion of the beautiful ring service there came a period
of hearty congratulations, after which Mrs. Blanche McCarthy McCullough
sang a number of delightful selections. Luncheon of a dainty and
appetizing nature was served later by Logan house waiters. Mr. and
Mrs. McCullough left on the midnight train to spend the honeymoon in
Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Baltimore and Washington. They will be at
home at 1905 Sixth avenue after January 15. The young people received
a large number of handsome presents in the way of china, cut glass and
silver. The bride's father, Mr. H. J. Aukerman, presented her with a
handsome piano, while the present of the groom's father, Mr. D. G.
McCullough, was a beautiful china closet.
The bride and groom are both well known in local society, and their
many friends will join in extending heartiest congratulations.
