ELLIOTT - BARNES.

John Edward Elliott, of 729 Sixth avenue and Miss Aliena Barnes, of
416 Beech avenue, Altoona, a prepossessing young couple, were united in
the holy bonds of matrimony yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the
ceremony being performed in the office of Clerk of the Orphans Court
Guy R. Lingafelt, the officiating magistrate being C. I. Lewis, justice
of the peace. The couple was unattended, and immediately upon the
completion of the ceremony, they departed on a wedding tour, which will
embrace points of interest in the east. The bridegroom is an employe
of the Pennsylvania railroad, holding a responsible and lucrative
position. The bride is a handsome and accomplished young woman,
popular in the circles in which she moves. A newly furnished home
awaits their occupancy, on their return from their trip.
