Vernie E. Montgomery: 88, of West Liberty, Morgan Co, KY, born Dec 16, 1908 in 
Lawrence Co, KY, dau of the late Fernando M. and Missouri A. Kelley Sparks, 
died Nov 29, 1997 in Morgan Co, KY. Preceded: husband, Curtis Montgomery, 
sister, Annie Ison. Survived: brother, Ova Sparks and his wife, Opal, sisters, 
Louella Ferguson, Goldie Caudill and Sylvia Burgett and her husband, Kenneth, 2 
nephews (that she reared) David Bailey and Curtis Bailey, 1 great nephew, 
Justin Bailey, and a host of nieces and nephews. Burial: Dec 1, 1997 in the Dow 
Montgomery Cemetery at Dingus, Morgan Co, KY.
