OBITUARY OF SOPHIA LEE BRIDGES

July 22, 1999
Sophia Lee Bridges, 79, died Wednesday at her home.
She was the former Sophia Miller; a retired employee of U.S.
Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Ind.; a retired pianist for Courtney Dance
Studio; past president of American Legion Post 193 Ladies Auxiliary; and a
member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Louisville Historical League,
Kentucky Congress of Parents & Teachers and Women of the Moose Lodge 5.
Survivors: her husband, Leslie B. Bridges; sons J. Stanley, Paul A., Robert
D. and Barry L. Bridges; a daughter, Janet Halliday; sisters Elaine Rau,
Roberta Royer and Barbara Leist; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Highlands, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
Burial: Resthaven Memorial. Visitation: 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Memorial gifts: her church's building fund or Hospice of Louisville.
