NICHOLAS ALTMEYER

  Nicholas Altmeyer died at 5:47 o'clock yesterday morning 
at his home, No. 1006 Tube Works Alley, after an illness of 
about eighteen months.  He was a plumber by trade and for 
many years preceding his period of ill health was employed 
by Williams and Edmundson, of Braddock.  Deceased was born 
December 3, 1869, at the family home in this city.  He was 
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Altmeyer, of McKeeport, both 
of whom survive.  Seven years ago Mr. Altmeyer was married 
to Catherine O'Conner, of Hollidaysburg.  She survives the 
husband together with three small children, two boys and a 
girl.  John Altmeyer is a brother of the deceased and 
Elizabeth Altmeyer and Mrs. George Englert are sisters.  
Deceased was a member of McKeesport conclave No. 81, Improved 
Order Heptasophs.  The funeral will take place tomorrow 
morning at 9 o'clock from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.  
Interment in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery.
