 Clarence Boyd, 88, of Okeechobee Buckhead Ridge, FL died March 12, 2014, at his 
residence.
 He was born December 6, 1925, in Berrien County to the late Ancil and Mary 
Griffin Boyd. He was a self-employed air conditioner mechanic and an Army 
veteran having served in WWII. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary 
Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Dianne Boyd and Marie 
Boyd; two brothers, Rual Boyd and J.W. Boyd; sister, Thelma Boyd.
 He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jody Crosby of 
Nacogdoches, TX; two sons, Clarence Boyd, Jr. of Darien and Charles Boyd of 
Danville; four sisters Dorothy Cook, Mildred Thomas, Annie Brewster, and Betty 
Nunes, all of Nashville; special friend, Betty Center of Okeechobee, FL; seven 
grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on March 15 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Stan Stalvey officiating.
 Interment followed in the church cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
