                                James V. Calhoun Sr.
 James V. Calhoun Sr. of Jacksonville died Tuesday at Baptist Medical Center 
in Jacksonville after a long illness. He was 77.
 Born in Moultrie, Ga., Mr. Calhoun moved to Jacksonville in 1985 from 
Statesboro, Ga. He laso lived in Gainesville for many years. He was the 
retired safety director for the Florida Telephone Corp. of Leesburg. He was a 
member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He belonged to a Moose 
Lodge in Jacksonville. He was a Methodist.
 Survivors include three daughters, Trish Calhoun and Jodi C. Hunter, both of 
Jacksonville and Abbey Masullo Calhoun of Merritt Island; a son, James V. 
Calhoun Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Doris Huggins and Edwina 
Caldwell, both of Newberry; and two grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
James was born 20 Jun 1913 to James Riley "Jim" Calhoun and Bessie Beatrice 
Allums Calhoun. He is buried in Newberry Cemetery in Newberry, Florida.
