The Berrien Press -- Ardell Fender, 77, of Willacoochee died November 30, 2007 
at his residence.
 Born December 5, 1929 in Lanier County to the late Marcus and Fannie Lou Rowe 
Fender, he was a ceramic tile mechanic. He was an Army veteran of the Korean 
War.
 Survivors include his wife, Ruby Alma Hooker Fender of Willacoochee; two 
daughters, Kathy Butler and Shirley Rowland, both of Nashville; one step-
daughter, Robin Adams of Nashville, TN; one step-son, John Bell of Monroe; one 
sister, Oleta Chaney of Nashville; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death 
by a sister, Minnie Lee Knowles.
 A graveside service was held Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at North Cemetery in Dupont 
with Rev. Danny Ray officiating.
 Pallbearers were Wayne Vaughn, Ronnie Knowles, Dewayne Rowland, Mack Chaney, 
Charles Hooker, Stanley Butler, David Butler, Daniel Butler.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
