Atkinson County Citizen - November 13, 2008
 Ms. Talisa Hope Durrance, age 19, of Pearson, GA passed away, Tuesday 
afternoon, November 4, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA 
from injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident.
 A native of Lanier County, Ms. Durrance was born December 21, 1988, daughter 
of Johnny and Carol Geiger Durrance. A 2008 graduate of Atkinson Co. High 
School, Talisa enjoyed participating in many different activities including the 
FBLA, FCCLA, ACHS Softball team, and the ACHS Band. She was voted "Most Rebel 
Spirit" by her Senior Class as she was a member of the Rebel Cheerleading Squad 
for four years and served as Captain of the 2007-2008 ACHS Cheerleading Squad. 
She was a dancer and former member of Regina's School of Dance and Southern 
Dazzle Dance Company in Douglas, GA as well as Mainstreet Dance Studio in 
Willacoochee, GA. Talisa also enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was attending 
East Central Technical College for Business Administration and worked as a 
receptionist for Dr. Charles Graper in Douglas, GA. Talisa attended the Axson 
Church of God of Prophecy and Indian Mound Church in Millwood, GA.
 Survivors include, daughter, Salah Lachelle Rowe of Pearson, GA; parents, 
Johnny and Carol Durrance of Pearson, GA; brother, Wade Carver and wife Amanda 
of Axson, GA; nieces Mackenzie Carver and Baylie Jo Carver; paternal 
grandmother, Elsie Mae Hamilton of Pearson, GA; paternal step-grandmother, Sue 
Durrance of Lakeland, GA; maternal grandparents, Richard Geiger and wife 
Juanita of Axson, GA.
 Aunts and uncles, Cynthia White and husband Randall of Axson, GA, Maxine 
Corbitt and husband Gene of Axson, GA, Joel Luke of Pearson, GA, Kevin Luke of 
Stockton, GA, Francis Luke of Stockton, GA, Jennifer and Bill Durrance of 
Valdosta, GA and Ashley and Cristy Durrance of Lakeland, GA; special great 
aunt, Linda Gail and Mike White of Valdosta, GA; special cousins, Kevin Davis 
and Sharee Corbitt.
 Funeral services for Ms Durrance were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 
2008 at the Axson Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Britt Peavey, Rev. 
Clayton Davis, and Timmy Wood officiating. Special musical selections 
included, "Serenaded By Angles" and "When I Get Where I'm Going" rendered by 
tape. The interment followed in the Axson Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Rey Jaimes, Kennon Holt, Jarred James, 
David Delk, Michael Wilkerson, Roman Harris.
 Serving as honorary pallbearers were 2007-2008 Atco High Cheerleaders.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
