 Frank Drake, 66, of Nashville died Jan. 23, 2011, a Langdale Hospice House in V
Valdosta after a long battle with cancer.
 He served his country with pride in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Command 
Master Chief and later retiring from Moody Air Force Base Commissary. He served 
aboard USS F.D. Roosevelt (CVA 42), USS Independence (CVA 60), USS America (CVA 
66), USS Nimitz (CVN 68). He was a member and past master of Duncan Lodge #234, 
a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign War Post 5978 where he was 
serving as Quarter Master until his illness. He served two terms on the City C
Council of Willacoochee and was a member of Christian Fellowship N
Nondenominational Church, where he served as a Sunday School/Bible Study T
Teacher. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association #126 in J
Jacksonville, FL.
 He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Cuppett Drake of Nashville; his 
daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca (David) Stringer of Nashville; son and 
daughter-in-law, Rick (Amy) Tayte Brock of Kailua, HI; granddaughters, Sage Horn
Horne of Nashville and Logan Stringer of Hahira; give brothers, Jim (Pok Sil) Lott
Lott of Pearson, Donald (Nina) Lott, Buddy (Carmen) Lott, Robert (Ginny) Lott and 
and Eddie (Barbara) Lott all of Willacoochee; six sisters, Gail (Karl) MacD
MacDonald, Connie(Tony) Tolentino of Pearson, Sherry (Don) Paulk of Ambrose, GA, 
GA, Lisa Teyo, Lynn (Levo) Whitley of Willacoochee, Libby (Terry) Fussell of Ambr
Ambrose; big sister, Glenda (Bill) Yawn of Willacoochee, and big brothers, Lace
(Nan
(Nancy) Futch of Willacoochee, Ray (Opal) Futch of Smithdale, MS and Clarence (Ori
(Orie) Futch of Nashville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents C.W.
C.W. "Dobbin" and Effie Futch; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Edgar Lott
Lott, a brother Darryl and a sister, Carol.
 A memorial service was held Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Hom
Home with the Rev. David Akins officiating. The Christian Fellowship Church cho
choir sang "A Beautiful Life," "When I Travel My Last Mile" and "In The Gar
Garden." The congregation sang "Amazing Grace."
 Honorary pallbearers were members of Duncan Lodge #234 and VFW Post 5978.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
