 Mrs. Doreen Teresa Disharoon, 66, of Axson, GA passed away Saturday morning, D
December 8, 2012 at her residence following an illness of serval months.
  A native of Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Disharoon was born June 12, 1946, daughter 
of Earnest and Dorothy McDuffie Nold. While making her home in Axson for 42 
years, Mrs. Disharoon was employed with the Atkinson Co. School System as a 
Para-Professional since 1997. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Holy 
Family Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
 Survivors include, former husband, Wilson Disharoon of Nashville, GA; 
daughter, Paula Dillingham and husband Freddy of Axson, GA; son, Mycheal Disharoon
Disharoon and wife Julia of Trussville, AL; sisters, Lucille Deal of LaSallatte
Ontario, Canada, Margaret McArthur of 
Ontario, Canada, Margaret McArthur of Simco Ontario, Canada; brothers, Johnny Nold
Nold of London, Ontario, Canada, Gary Nold of London Ontario, Canada; 4 
grandchildren, Joseph Warner, Heather McDaniel, Mitchell Disharoon, and M
McKenzie Dillingham; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Disharoon were held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 11 
a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Douglas, GA 
with Father Nicholas Mansell officiating. A special message of thanks from the 
family was given by Mrs. Disharoon’s nephew, Brian Beal. Special musical 
selections included, “Ave Maria” rendered by cd, “Amazing Grace” rendered by 
the congregation with John Lang and Glenda Lang with John Long accompanying at 
the piano. “Go Rest High on That Mountain” rendered by John Lang and Glenda La
Lang with John Lang accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the prelude and po
postlude was provided by John Lang, pianist.
 The interment followed in Holy Family Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were nephews, Rick Disharoon, Keith Disharoon, Jimmy Corbitt, J
James Corbitt, Gage Corbitt, Brian Beal.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
