   Geo. Edward, Jr., infant son of Mr. & Mrs. G.E. Higgins, of Royster, Fla., 
died at the residence of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Newman, of this 
place, last Thursday.  This was especially sad for the young parents, who have 
been called upon to give up both of their children, the little daughter having 
died two years ago last September.  While the fond parents are bowed in grief 
and their cherished hopes of the future seem so blighted, we trust that they 
will look to the Father for comfort, and realize that "He doeth all things 
well."  Heaven must seem brighter to them now, since another jewel so precious 
to them, has been added to the angelic host.  May this sorrow serve as bonds 
of love to draw them nearer to the Father and in the future, sometime, they 
will understand what seems so mysterious to them now.
   The funeral services were held Friday morning at ten o'clock at the family 
cemetery near Five Points, conducted by Rev. J.M. McCleskey, and the little 
body was laid to rest by the side of little Vivian Olivene.
