KNEISLEY.
Robert L. Kneisley, Sr., 62, 111 North st, died Friday at 7 p.m. in
the Veterans Administration Hospital, Dayton, following an illness of two
months.
He owned and operated Kneisley Hillside Carryout in Greenfield for
the past 15 years.
Born in Fayette County Sept. 4, 1911, he was a son of John W. and
Sylvia M. Free Kneisley. On June 17, 1941, he married the former Clara Jane
Davidson who survives.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the
First Presbyterian Church, Marshall, O., and Paint Aerie 1325, Fraternal Order
of Eagles, Greenfield, the Greenfield American Legion and the Veterans of
Foreign Wars.
Last rites will be read Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Murray Funeral Home
with Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Murray's after 4 p.m. Monday.
The Eagles Lodge will hold service Monday at 8 p.m.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Kneisley is survived by a daughter and
three sons, Mrs. Joanne Litteral, Springfield, Robert L. Kneisley Jr.,
Greenfield, James W. Kneisley, serving with the U.S. Navy at Tacoma, Wash.,
and Frederick D. Kneisley, at home; five grandchildren and a brother and a
sister, Everett Kneisley, Springfield, and Mrs. Althea Miller, Columbus.
Another daughter, Sylvia K. Kneisley, a granddaughter and a sister
preceded him in death.
