DEATHS. WILLIAM C. CARMAN.
William C. Carman, 74, retired farmer and a past worthy president of
the Eagles lodge, died early today in his home, 347 Lafayette st. He had
been ill for eight years.
A native of Fayette county, he was born Nov. 19, 1879, a son of
William and Lydia Roff Carman.
He was married to Bessie Hollar, who survives with two daughters and
three sons; Mrs. Walter Beechler, Lyndon Rt. 1, Mrs. Mora Puckett, Rt. 3,
Robert Carman, of Columbus, Kenneth, of Dayton, and Theodore, at home; two
brothers, Harry Carman, of New Holland, and John Carman, of Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., and 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased
by two daughters.
Service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Murray funeral home with
Rev. Frank Milner officiating. Interment will be made in South Salem cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Thursday.
Members of Paint Aerie 1325, will conduct ritualistic service at the
funeral home Thursday at 8 p.m.
